  • Runs on both desktop PCs and Pocket PCs, allowing for fast data entry.
  • Precise item-by-item synchronization.
  • Easy to use and understand.

Here's How Virtual Wallet Keeps You Organized

Virtual Wallet lets you create multiple wallets. Each wallet can contain several pages of information, and each page holds up to 12 cards. When you view a page, you see icons for each card. Tapping an icon opens a card or another page. Before you open a wallet, you must enter the proper password.

With this simple system, you have the power and flexibility to organize all your sensitive personal information.

Virtual Wallet has four types of cards:

  • Text Cards contain simple unformatted text.
  • Image Cards contain an image and text. A common use is for storing scanned images of credit cards.
  • Form Cards contain structured text. 13 different forms are available, including forms for passwords, bank accounts, stock brokerage accounts and more. You can create your own forms as well.
  • HTML Cards contain HTML data, just like Web pages. This lets you make cards with fonts, colors and embedded graphics.

Virtual Wallet works on both a PC and a Pocket PC. You can synchronize individual items of information between both machines. Only Virtual Wallet can do this!

Try Virtual Wallet FREE for an unlimited time, and see for yourself why there's no better way to store and protect your personal information. Or purchase right now, and get organized immediately!

Easy and extremely flexible Rated 4 out of 5 stars

One of the criteria that I wanted with a wallet was the ability to store HTML or text in free form. I wanted to be able to open a card and see the text without the tabs or summary screens you see in so many programs of this type. Of all the Wallet programs, VW meets these goals. In addition to all of the standard card forms that one would want for cards, phones, etc., VW provides a freeform card that accept plain text and another form of this card accepts HTMO. On top of all of this, you can create new forms using HTML as the defining form language. This is simple and extremely flexible and means that if you do not see what you want, you can create it. The twelve card limit per page with multiple pages per wallet is not a negative. It makes it extremely easy to setup multiple wallets with multiple pages. You can cut and paste cards from page to page and wallet to wallet so organization is simple. Forms can have images and icons and you can define your own icons. Unfortunately syncing icons between the desktop and pocketpc version is entirely manual. It does need a few tweaks here and there to make its display routines a little faster, but it is fast enough to not be irritating. At at this price with a free desktop program to sync with, it is a wallet program to take a good look at.
The idea is good but the program needs further development Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The concept to store every entry in a separate file is good. It makes it easy to syncronize the data with the desktop PC: The limitation to 12 entrys on one page is not sufficient for me. A explorer like view showing the whole tree would be better. The program does not support special german characters like äöüßÄÖÜ.
Fiddly and unintuitive but still worth it Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I have downloaded and compared ALL the Pocket PC wallet programs over a period of two months. I finally chose this one because it let me put pictures of my credit card in it and also write notes below it -eg about expiry dates or whatever - while displaying both these things in a very easy-to-read way. While nearest contender CodeWallet Pro (which I almost settled on) is simpler and allows fonts and colours in every template format, it has a crazy method of only allowing writing over the top of a background pic (when using images) making it hard to read. CodeWallet Pro also charges $10 more for the desktop PC version whereas VW's tosses it in for free. Having shelled out the dough, I found the VW PPC program very fiddly. You MUST have a good file explorer program (I used Resco, no probs) or you will be stuffed. I spent a good amount of time copying templates and renaming these copies just so I would be able to use more than one. eg. If you like the bank account form template, but want three different icons to point to your three different bank account details in the one wallet, you have to copy the original template several times and give them new names (eg banka, bankb, bankc) or else you'll just keep seeing the first bank's details each time. For some reason it doesn't just intuitively generate a blank form, automatically with a new name and ready for you each time. YOU must do all the legwork. I have had no end of problem "synching" between PC and Pocket PC and have concluded it's not meant to be -- one can only really copy *de*crypted files over...eg text files and jpegs and not the full wallets or wallet pages. I quickly found there was no point copying the nicely *en*crypted files/wallet pages over because it won't read them on the other side. That's because if you open a wallet on the PC and encrypt it; and open a wallet on your Pocket PC and encrypt it, and even if the names are exactly the same and the files within it are exactly the same; it's using different randomly generated encryption algorithms between each machine. So it reads the two otherwise identical wallets like apples and bananas not apples and apples. Which means you get given error messages and it won't open anything but decrypted individual items, like jpegs. Lastly -- some files which were copied over decrypted I can't delete at ALL now. Very annoying. In sum -- worth it for the bright icons, well displayed look inside, and, once you've set up the wallet just the way you want it -- it's a dream to use. But the setting up is fiddly, fiddly, fiddly - unless you have a very uncomplicated life and not many things to store, in which case - why do you want the wallet in the first place?!
