This software was not designed or produced to circumvent technology that effectively protects access to, or restricts the duplication of, copyrighted material. It has a commercially significant purpose other than to circumvent and has major non-infringing uses; being primarily designed to transcode home movies, tv-programming, personal video and audio files, and feature films from a users harddrive and/or on removable media. It does not produce digitally identical copies, but transcodes into a lossy, strongly compressed file. Its sole purpose is to enable a platform- and timeshift allowing playback of lawfully aquired content, under the fair use principle.

Very disappointed

I was very disappointed with this purchase. After purchase, I threw various movie clips at this software in addition to DVD on disc and files on computer. Every attempt to process a move either failed or locked up. I don't know if the problem is due to the fact that I have Vista or not.

Very usefull software

I travel a lot and need to kill a lot of time. This software has helped me to put movies in my pocket. It's easy to use and relatively fast. My flights are more entertaining now I can pick my own movies.

I've been using this since version 2.0 and it has improved with every update. It's fast and reliable. If only it had batch conversion, I would have given it five stars.
