Smart Movie Excellent Choice

After trying out this software, I found it to be excellent value for money and almost lacking nothing that you could possibly ask for. The conversion software is extremely reliable and accurate. It relies on the PPC divx codec to decode avi files. There's only one thing I'd like to see added really - multiple codec support for the player, so that conversion isn't really a pre-requisite. For the time being though, it's a great player.

I had a few problems getting the registration key,but it was a holliday(easter) so it's possible.The program is the best you can have for making movies to your pocket pc.It is very very quick(a full movie ,resized to full screen 320 x 240 took about 35 minutes in a very good quality !It does avi,mpeg,mov etc.Realy the best,you can't believe it untill you use it,believe me,I bought every program on Handango that pretends to do the same

I use this program in conjunction with Pocket-DVD Studio. I encode a DVD at high resolution and then use Smartmovie to encode it again for the Pocket PC. The Pocket PC player that comes with the program is superior to other avi players. I really like this program - it has the touch of quality about it. Of course you don't need Pocket-DVD studio if you already have the avi file. Also Smartmovie is not essential if you want to play DVDs on your Pocket PC - DVD Studio will do the whole thing but this program does give you much more control. One thing, you have to download a codec from the program's website. I would suggest XVID but I'm only a novice at this encoding thing.
