Movie2Memcard converts your video files to a smaller file format, allowing you to take them with you on a video-capable portable device.
Movie2Memcard provides you with a choice of numerous different output formats, covering about 99.9% of all the devices capable of video playback. These include the following devices:
PocketPC's (2000 and up),Windows Mobile devices, Archos/iRiver/PocketDiSH, Apple iPod Video, Sony Playstation Portable, PalmOS, GPX1/2

Windows Media Audio/MP3 only, only convert the audio of a movie, for use with non-video capable devices, make a movie into an audiobook, or just to get that intro tune of your favorite TV show as a song.
DIVX5 Change Format, for converting files not playable on your computer to a format that can be handled by your computer. No other modifications are done to the resulting file, resulting in an almost identical copy of your file, but in a playable format. With the optional free codec pack availiable on the Movie2Memcard website, almost any file can be converted this way.

on Sep 13, 2006 - This software does not work as advertised. There is no way to select start and stop points for conversion without the program freezing. I attempted to contact the developer, but have yet to hear back. The program simply converts a random 15 mminute section that it has predetermined. I did manage to get one section of a DVD converted by watching the preview in real time to get to the point at which I wanted it to stop. This, however, is completely impractical.

on Aug 16, 2004 - First of all, this WILL NOT convert DVD movies directly to MPG, etc. You have to convert to MPG first and then use this software. I just want to make sure people don't confuse this with other programs that do DVD conversion. Now that I got that out of the way, all this program is, really, is a prettier front-end for the WMP9 compression software. There's also a good support forum & good support from the developer. Is it worth the money? That's up to you. Don't take the 3 star rating as "poor". It is average software with no mind-blowing features but it has no major flaws either.

on Jun 4, 2004 - I have been searching for a program to convert video to a high quality PPC format. I have played around with several programs and am not sure if I have found what I am searching for, but this program appears to convert video well. I wanted to write that the customer service (Mitch) for this product has been top notch. He has provided me with valuable information (even some info unrelated to his product). I am looking forward to some of the possible improvements to this existing program.
