Overview:
MacroRecorder records and re-runs any operating process on Smartphone device easily. A recorded operating process is saved as a macro file. It is also created a shortcut menu item in Start Menu automatically. So, it is re-run only by choosing a Start Menu item. If the menu item is assigned with a speed dial key, then only pressing once a key to re-run the operating process. Further more, it can be scheduled at specified time by AutoFlight program to re-run the operating process automatically.

To record a macro:

Start MacroRecorder. (graph 1)

On the Menu of MacroRecorder, choose Record. (graph 2)

Under Where to select, select Start Menu or System programs. (graph 3)

Under Select a program, select a program you want to use it as start of recording. (graph 3)
Note: If you want to start recording with home screen, select System programs at step c, and select home.exe at step d. If you want to start recording with Quick List, select System programs at step c, and select quickapp.exe at step d.

Click Ready button, the left soft button, to start recording. (graph 3)

After specified program started and the sign of status on the title bar is red, begin to operate device according to you
have planed. During this period, all pressed key value and interval time between each other will be recorded. -
Click End key (
) to stop recording. -
After popping up Save as screen, types a name for the recorded macro in The macro save as box and selects an icon for the shortcut of the macro file in Select an icon list box. (see right graph)
Note: If there is no Save as screen popped up and the status sign is still red but not white, then it means that there is a problem of compatibility between MacroRecorder and another software program. Please to stop this program temporarily, and then beginning to record again. I knew that the AutoLock function of AutoFlight v4.3.1 and previous version is not compatible with MacroRecorder. AutoFlight v5.0 and later version have overcome this problem. -
Click Done button to exit MacroRecorder.

To run a macro file, there are four ways:

The first way is to choose and open a macro file from Start menu directly. (graph 4)

The second way is to press and hold a key, which has been defined as speed dial key assigned to a macro item you want, until the macro playback begin. About how to add speed dial, please to see Smartphone device manual for details.

The third way is to run a macro at scheduled time automatically. AutoFlight software can do scheduling to start a program at predefined time. For detail to see AutoFlight's manual and try it.

Under Macro List on Open Macro screen, select a macro file name to be played. (graph 5)

Note: During playback, the sign of status is green, and the keypad is disabled.

Under Macro List on Manager screen, selects a macro file name to be edited. (graph 6)

Moves to Edit checkbox, then click Enter key. (graph 6)

In the listview of mcaro recorders, there are three columns moves. The first is sequence number and status of each recorder, here, "!" presents key down action, "." is key up action. The second is elapse time in milliseconds since previous action. The third is keyname. Down/up highlight bar to select a recorder item. (graph 7)

Extremely handy software! Significantly speeds up Windows Mobile!

on Feb 28, 2008 - I've had this program for probably a year now. Many programs have come and gone from my smartphone, but this one always stays. Windows Mobile is inherently clunky require several key presses through obscure menus to get to features that you may use often. This can get frustrating! MacroRecorder fixes that.Its amazingly easy to use. Simply launch MacroRecorder and tell it to record your actions. After you are done, you can have it save that action set into a macro file with a shortcut in the startmenu. If you use that particular macro a lot, you can do like I do and either assign a speed dial to that macro, or assign a voice command to that macro. VERY COOL!Honestly, I couldn't ask for more. The program provides shortcuts to pretty much any feature/task you want. Its very small, and it doesn't even take up any precious RAM! As it opens itself when you launch the macro and closes all transparently, without any lag. The only compatibility issue I found was that it won't record macros if you have the program VITO Copy/Paste installed and running, but this only effecfts recording not playback (So to fix this, disable Vito before you record your macros, and then re-enable it. You'll be able to use Vito just fine, and you'll be able to play your macros just fine)
