This is worth buying just to show off the graphic capabilty of the Px00. The control system takes a little getting used to but still good fun.

First things first: the installation of the game was a breeze. I downloaded the file to my desktop, right-clicked the file, and it started installing to my phone. I didn't have to worry about syncing files or anything like that. All software should be this easy to install on handhelds.

Next I loaded the game. The setup was easy, and I began to play. I chose the first scenario hoping that it would be the easiest (after playing the other scenarios I found that each were of a similar difficulty). Upon entering the game I was a little "wowed." I thought it was amazing that a 3D game could run so smoothly on such a small device.

The graphics were pretty clean and crisp. There were some jagged edges on the ship and passing objects, but there was a nice amount of detail in the textures. The motion was very smooth -- leaving me pleasantly surprised! I found the controls very intuitive and responsive. For instance, the space fighter I controlled smoothly floated in the direction I dragged my stylus, which was nice considering how jumpy some games can be.

Overall the game is easy to play. The ship auto-fires its cannon, which means that all you really must do is avoid oncoming objects, such as other ships, asteroids, etc. and point your guns at the enemy. There's no need to multi-task and alternate the power to your ship while choosing, aiming and firing your gun, all the while avoiding obstacles. However, just because it was easy to grasp right off the bat doesn't make it so easy that the game doesn't take a lot of attention. Enemy ships flew by with guns blazing as I steered clear of their fire. Guns mounted to the massive star ships also added to the chaotic space battle.

If I were to give this a 1 of 10 rating (10 being the best), I'd give it a 8. The graphics were quite enjoyable to view and it's fun to play for a while (It's not necessarily something I'd play for an extended period of time). The only things I would deduct points for are it being so easy. Using additional buttons or the wheel on the phone would have been a welcome challenge.

I was amazed by these graphics on a P800. Looks far superior to other games. Implementation of controls is OK too, although a bit odd at first. The cost of the game is less than two pints. Give it a try.
