Smartphone Replacement for MS Reader

Having just switched to a Windows Mobile 5 PDA to WMS Smartphone Ed. I was unpleasantly suprised to find there was no MS Reader available. Since reading and listening to books is a big part of my use I was displeased. Luckily I found Tiney Ebook Reader. It reads most book formats including the non-DRM (non-encrypted) version of Microsoft reader Ebooks in the .lit format. You still wil not be able to read many of the most recent titles...but a suprising number of titles are available. And, oddly, reading on a Smartphone-sized window works quite well if you increase the font size. The reader itself is quite good. It allows changing of a number of parameters that MS Reader does not allow. In addition it is TINY...it takes very little space. I recommend this and use it frequently.

Exactly what I was looking for (almost)

I was looking for a MS Reader for the SmartPhone, and this worked great. Unfortunately it does not handle secure MS Reader eBooks, but that was stated in the product description. The font can be adjusted for easier reading. It does remember where you left off, even when switching between books. Note: I had a problem with my phone where the installer wouldn't work. The support responded within a day and provided a CAB file to install instead.

Fills a gap

This app is very nice since Microsoft hasn''t stepped up to provide a .lit reader for the Smartphone. And the latest version, 4.0, seems to address some complaints others have had like not remebering the last viewed page after shutting down. You can''t open DRM5 (copy protected) books that you''ve purchased but I only see Microsoft able to solve that problem. If you have some unprotected books that you want to carry and read on your phone, this is worth the cost. But I''m only giving 4 stars as the author doesn''t claim to provide any support.
