With BackupBuddyVFS you can effortlessly backup your organizer's critical files to Secure Digital, MultiMedia and Memory Stick expansion cards. In the unfortunate event of a loss of data, you can immediately use BackupBuddyVFS to restore your organizer's data from an expansion card whether you are at your desktop computer or on the road.

I set it and forget it...except when I had to do a restore away from my computer, then I was so glad I had purchased it.

This is a solid piece of software that you can trust. And that's what you want from a backup utility. It works. I've had to rely on it several times, and it hasn't let me down. In operation, it is as basic or advanced as you want it to be. If you want, you can set backup schedules, create different backup sets for use against each schedule, create backup (restore) points so that you have a history of file states. Or you can just hit a single "backup button" without any configuration whenever you feel the need. You can backup/restore individual files. I can't praise this app enough. Hotsyncing just doesn't cut it for your important data and applications. From experience, restoring from hotsync won't get you back to exactly where you were before; restoring from hotsync can create problems (I tried restoring from multiple hotsync PCs and Palm kept wiping all my category allocations); restoring from hotsync won't help you if you haven't connected to a PC and hotsynced in a while. This app is well worth the initial cost. My Palm has a really poor battery life, and a couple of times I have been without charger and the device has run dead to the point of losing all my data. But I don't worry about this happening anymore... I can make an EXACT copy of everthing on my SD card using BBVFS if this is a risk, and restoring is an absolute breeze. A bargain IMHO.

Get it now, before it's too late! Recently, all my calendar appointments disappeared from Palm Desktop. Apparently this is a relatively rare quirk, but it happens from time to time, according to the support forums. I didn't notice this before I synced and all the calendar (except reoccuring) appointments were irretrievably deleted as well. I'm still apologing for missed business and personal appointments. I now use this to backup daily!
