XScaleCtrl for Dell Axim
XScaleCtrl for Dell Axim is a Control Panel applet that allows you to adjust the speed of the XScale Processor in the Dell Axim from 100MHz up to 500MHz.
The 300MHz Dell Axim can be scaled up to 400MHz
The 400MHz Dell Axim can be scaled up to 500Mhz.
The control panel application allows you to also turn on re-applying the speed setting on power on and when a soft reset has been done without an application running in the background using up valuable resources.
XScaleCtrl is small at around 30 Kbytes in size.
If you have an XScale device that is not a Dell Axim there is another version here for your device.
There is now an Advanced Version for those who like to try out settings or those with devices such as the ASUS A600 that can run at 442MHz (L=40,M=2,N=1.5), 500MHz (L=27,M=2,N=2.5) and 531MHz (L=36,M=2,N=2) that can be found here.
The trial version will be fully functional for 5 days and will nag the user every time the settings are applied. The full version does not have any time limits and does not display any messages when applying the settings.

The XScaleCtrl for the Dell Axim is only compatible with Dell Axims with Intel XScale Processors.

on Feb 9, 2003 - Very efficient application! My Axim 400 Mhz run at 500 with absolutely no problem. Effects are verifiables specially with multitasking (example: mp3 playing running many other applications without any interruptions) and with games!
