Play , the world's most popular word game, on your Pocket PC device! The Handmark SCRABBLE® Game for the Pocket PC is designed to play just like the classic board game. It utilizes a select-and-drop tile placement interface, a built-in Official Scrabble Players Dictionary, automatically scores every game and even saves partially completed games to be continued at any time!

Choose to play in either Friendly or Tournament mode. Friendly mode is like a casual family game where you can choose to accept or reject words not outside the standard rules. Friendly mode also allows the "Suggest Move" option displaying suggestions for your next move. Choose the Tournament mode and you are playing by the classic SCRABBLE rules. Install the optional full definition dictionary to view the definitions of each word as they are played!

Practice your SCRABBLE skills when you play against the automated computer opponent. Choose the skill level of your opponent: Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, or Expert. Play against one, two or three opponents using one device and the Handmark SCRABBLE game will hide your tile rack from your opponents. Play against opponents using multiple devices with IR beaming.

The Pocket PC version of SCRABBLE is produced by Handmark under a license agreement with Infogrames, Inc., which publishes the electronic and interactive versions of Hasbro properties.

Disappointing

I tried the trial version and was disappointed for two reasons. 1.) when you move the letters around to find words, the letters sort in a very strange way 2.) it doesn't always calculate your points correctly. I added on to an existing word to create a new word; the new word was 8 letters, but it only scored me for 7 of the 8 letters.

Letters in the tray are opaque and barely readable, there is no resolution, i am running windows mobile on a Dell X51

Has a few frustrating problems.

I have two complaints with this software. First when you play against the computer if you choose the "easy" setting the computer plays words like "or" and "can", if you play on "med" the computer makes pretty advanced plays many times using 7 letters. There is nothing in between. The "easy" setting isn't challenging, and the "med" setting is much harder than the "easy". The second problem is that after you play a word you hit the "done" button. Often this just shuts down the program. Of course the game isn't saved at that point. So you lose it. There isn't another button near the "done" button that shuts down the program (I thought perhaps my screen needed to be aligned).
