NOTE: This program runs on your PC and will only work using data created by the Baseball Tracker palm program. To purchase the Baseball Tracker for the Palm, click here
The long awaited desktop companion program for the baseball tracker. Finally, you can report on the data that you entered in the baseball tracker in the Palm! 2 report formats available: CSV (for Excel) and HTML (to be viewed with a web browser). Create a summary report or a detail report. Select date range to report on. Flexible, easy to use, easy to install.- Select the directory where Palm does your back-up syncs (on mine, its 'C:\Palm\DS\Backup')
- At this point, if there is data in the database, the drop down labeled 'Player To Report On:' should be populated with a list of all the players in your database.
- Select a player (or if you would like to report on all players, leave 'ALL' selected)
- Select a date you would like to report from (leave it blank if you want all records since you started using it). Note - since dates must be entered in a specific format, you must select them through the pop-up calendar. To pop up the calendar, click on the button next to the "Date Range From:" edit box. You should see the calendar window. Click once on the date you want (if you need a different month, you can click on the arrows at the upper left and upper right of the calendar window). When you've clicked on the date, the date will have a black box drawn around it. When done selecting the date, close the calendar window and the date will be transferred to the edit box.
- Select a date you would like to report to (leave it blank if you want all records up to the current day).
- Select a report format (CSV or HTML)
- Select report content. This is either a summary report (similar to what is shown on the Palm screen) or an "All At Bats" report that shows each at bat for a player, the result of that at bat, and the date and time the at bat occurred.
- Press "Create Report" and (if there is data in the database) you will see a message box stating the report file name that was created.
- Open the report either in Excel if it was a CSV report, or in Internet Explorer if it was an HTML report. In either case, you ought to be able to just double click the file and it will open with the appropriate application.
- That's it....your done.
