This reminds me of the old arcade game "missle command" except that instead of shooting down missles you have to shoot down the correct answer to a math question before it falls and blows up your cities. It starts slow and easy but goes faster and faster. It's a great way to keep your math facts fresh. I challenge you to get past level 10!! I'm working on it.

Missile Math does teach math skills, but does encourage the young mathematician to become faster with calculation and does so in a fun format. The game lets the user set the range of numbers used in the math problems (0 - 12) and whether the player will have solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division questions all at once. It would be nice if one could set it for higher numbers (for the parents' pleasure) and to start at a faster rate for feeding the questions. The software seems to be reliable. Only real con: the $12 registration fee seems too high for such a basic product.
