on May 29, 2009 - I disagree with the previous reviewers as this software delivers on it's promise. I find Excel Mobile to be the best app within the suite as I am able to review and modify Excel spreadsheets.. All in all this was a good purchase for me.

Microsoft rarely fails to disappoint

on Oct 31, 2008 - MS Office Mobile is disgustingly lame. Microsoft touts Office Mobile as able to edit Office documents and spreadsheets on the fly. Well you'd better be prepared to retype those documents from scratch at the office if you do. I tried moving over a fairly straightforward spreadsheet (no formulas more complicated than SUM or IF). Excel converted more than half my formulas to values without telling me. Had I saved that over the original on my PC, I'd have been in for a lot of extra work. The Word and PowerPoint pieces suffer from the same inability to preserve formats in the original files. Since you can't trust the result, just how much value is the "edit" capability? Ironically, you'll need third party apps to edit Office files Microsoft can't manage itself. One last thing here: use OK to close (and thus save), then reopen files often, since you can't save on the fly, and there's no recovery if Windows Mobile takes a powder. I grant that Windows Mobile isn't terribly unstable, but at the same time, I'm no stranger to the "reset" button.

It is not Microsoft style

Nevertheless, Office Mobile is very poor; it lacks obvious functions, it takes ages to open a document and worse of all, it saves your document without the original formatting in too many situations.
