Great game, but a little redundant

on Jun 15, 2007 - This game looks great and runs as expected on my Treo 750w. Between trading goods according to supply and demand to raise money for your ship, taking on any number of small missions normally ending in a ship battle, and raising or lowering your status with different countries, there is a lot to this game. The downside to this game is that while there are many different mission story lines, the game play for each is the same. Take mission, sail to destination, battle opposing ship. As for the ship battles, there is not a lot to it, aim shoot, aim shoot aim shoot until strength points are gone and a ship sinks. With little effort you can upgrade your ship to the point that it is hard to lose. I do like the game and am happy with my purchase but wish there was more dynamics to it. Considering the price is about the same as a movie ticket, this game will initially keep you entertained many hours longer.

on Feb 28, 2007 - The only thing this game is missing from the Pirates PC game is the sword play. I really am enjoying the different levels of play, the challenges it throws at you, and the open paths you can take. This is not a game for the puzzle types, but if you enjoy strategy this is a fun game. I couldn't put it down.

Great Time Killer

on Feb 26, 2007 - Great time-killer (played a lot waiting in line and traveling) where you don't need to think too hard. Diverse enough that I still play it three months later. There was a bug when I first downloaded it involving square screen support and when I notified tech support it was fixed immediately. (I was quite impressed with their responsiveness!)
