The game is a level up role playing game. Players take on the role of an adventurer who's goal is to rescue the city of Qeynos from a betrayal by their gnoll neighbors.
EverQuest for the Pocket PC: Attack on Qeynos is a stand alone product.
EverQuest Chapter I is not required to play.
This version includes:
· Four playable character classes.
· New monsters, weapon and spells.
· Side quests that deviate form the main story.
· Chests that can now contain either treasure or monsters.
· A whole new story that allows player to bring in characters from the original EverQuest for the Pocket PC game or start from scratch.

on Mar 18, 2003 - I picked up where I left off, adventuring through the new Qeynos zones, running quests and killing baddies. In this expansion, I have really enjoyed the random "optional" quests for even more glory and cool handcrafted items. Also, the game moves a lot faster with quicker mana/hp regeneration and magical speed items. It is a welcome change since, unlike the original EQ, there is no one to chat with while you are resting. I can't wait to go through the game with the other character classes!

on Feb 26, 2003 - Gameplay as before, new monsters....yes. New spells...no, just bigger versions of existing spells. Difficult to import characters. STILL NOT ENOUGH STUFF FOR THE NON FIGHTER CLASSES. The most powerful weapon I have is still the Blackheart Staff from the first installment, but I can find all manner of wonderful items for fighters and druids. Not everyone likes to hack their way through a game. Still no fire spell for the Sorcerer, only the magician gets that. Same run of the mill stuff as before fight, get money, buy stuff, and the quests are not that difficult or well thought out. I know it is only on the pocket PC, but some more thought could have gone into it. Not sure I will buy the 3rd installment, until I see some very positive reviews after it is released.

on Feb 26, 2003 - Don't be fooled by the description. There's no new spells, but instead you can increase it to higher levels, much like other stats. If you liked the first episode, you'll most probably enjoy this new episode. If you want to know what this game is like, download the demo for the first episode.
