Recent times have becomed darkened by the red tint of the malevolent deities. Skilled warriors, hunters, and spellcrafters set out to squelch the source of spreading evil.

Fun hack n' slash! but annoying randomization of items

I really enjoy this fun and basic hack n'slash dungeon-crawling game. The graphics are simple, but good. And the mosnters change every three levels so just when I get bored of seeing dungeon walls and goblins, I move down to the fourth level and find myself in the woods with dark elves. The only reason this game didn't get a 5 was because of the randomization of items. After each battle, there is a chance of getting an item. The problem is that the items are too well randomized and I can get the same item over and over again. That's not so bad if its potions, but it's ususally not. I have over 15 revives, but only 2 potions. Then comes the really frustrating part - when you get the same weapon or armor over and over again. I've been in some tight spots where my mage needed armor, but I kept getting the same weapon for my fighter. If you can handle that though, then the game is a lot of fun and a great way to pass time between classes!

This game is perfect. It's basic and simple in a world of overly complicated RPG's. It's a lot of fun and I really appreciate the sticking to the basics approach taken here. Good job guys!
