Decuma Alphabetic handwriting recognition for Pocket PC
Capturing your hand naturally with:
Decuma Alphabetic is a new concept for handwritten input, modeled closely to actual writing with pen on paper. A single input area is used for writing and presenting recognized letters and for editing the text. This makes input natural and fast, and allows you to focus on the content rather than the writing.
You don't have to learn a certain writing style or special alphabet. Uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, punctuation marks and special symbols, as well as accented letters, can be mixed in the same input mode.
Editing is done directly in the input area using intuitive gestures to delete and insert one or several characters. Simply overwrite misinterpreted characters. Add shortcuts for convenient input of frequently written words and phrases.
Languages supported
Decuma Alphabetic currently supports Albanian, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Icelandic, Irish, Italian, Luxembourgish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish characters as well as different writing styles in these languages.
Device model compatibility
The software should be compatible with all Pocket PC devices (not WM2003SE) and has been tested on several of them including Compaq iPaq 3600/3700/3800, HP Jornada, Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox and Toshiba Genio 5500.

on Sep 14, 2005 - I''ve been using this input method for a while now, and I LOVE it!!!, but just upgraded to a VGA device, and I''m sad to say it doesn''t have VGA support, I''ve tried to contact the developer with no success. any ideas?

At last ... hand recognition that actually works

on Apr 20, 2004 - I have been using hand recognition programs for Swedish, Danish and English texts since Apple Newton but there is up to today, no one that comes close to Newton?s accuracy and user friendly interface. But that has all changed with this great product. The next step would be to integreat it with PocketPC and TabletPC. Bill .. make a deal quick.
