• Contains a production-ready Java Powered runtime environment, tested and certified to meet J2ME specifications as laid out by the Java Community Process. This edition of WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment, for Windows Mobile 2003-based devices, supports the following J2ME specifications:
• Connected Device Configuration (CDC 1.0_01).
• Foundation Profile.
• Personal Profile.
• Reference devices for WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment Personal Profile 1.0 for Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition: HP iPaQ 4700, HP iPAQ 3715, and HP iPAQ 5550.
• Other editions are available, supporting additional J2ME configurations and profiles and/or device platforms:
• Connected, Limited Device Configuration (CLDC 1.0 and 1.1) and Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP 2.0) support is available for Windows Mobile 2003-based devices and Palm OS-based devices.
• CDC 1.0_01, Foundation Profile, and Personal Profile support is also available for Linux-based devices.

WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment - Runtime and Deployment License for 100 Devices

Workplace Client Technology, Micro Edition, IBM's integrated platform for extending existing enterprise applications to server-managed client devices such as desktop computers, laptop systems, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and other mobile and pervasive devices, contains evaluation licenses for WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment. The WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment license that comes with IBM Workplace Client Technology, Micro Edition does not permit you to distribute the runtimes outside of your enterprise. To deploy applications into production, on WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment, you will need to purchase a license for the runtime, on a per device basis. By purchasing this license you are entitled to ship WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment for, or on, 100 devices.

For example, you are building your application that requires WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment. You plan to deploy the applications to 50 devices each quarter. You would probably then purchase a license 100-pack, and then after six months, purchase another 100-pack.

By purchasing and downloading the attached file, you receive license to deploy and distribute WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment for, or on, 100 devices.
