For maximum protection, Trend Micro Mobile Security performs automatic, real-time scanning and detection of viruses on handhelds and storage cards. Mobile users also may initiate manual scans. Mobile Security can receive updated pattern files via mobile data connection(GPRS, EV-DO, EDGE, UMTS, etc) or by synchronizing with antivirus pattern file updates on a local PC. Mobile Security takes advantage of TrendLabs, Trend Micro's global antivirus research and support team of engineers who work around the clock to monitor virus activity, develop information on new threats, and deliver effective security solutions to Trend Micro's customers. Purchasing Trend Micro Mobile Security 3.0 provides one (1) year license providing 365 days of protection. Customers can renew by purchasing an second year's license after expiration of the initial year's license. To purchase TMMS for your Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone device, you have to register the IMEI number or device identifier of you phone in the Handango "Device ID" field. To find your IMEI number, press *#06# on your phone. The IMEI is 15 digits, please discard any additional digits after the 15th. If you have installed a TMMS trial version, you can find the IMEI or device identifier displayed in the Register screen in the "Serial number" field. The value for the "Device ID" field of Handango can also be found in the Register screen in the "Serial number" field.
