on Nov 14, 2008; I have been trying other software and used SprintDB for about 4 years. This is by far the best and easiest. It does so much, from the very simple to the very complex. The new sync software that comes with it runs through all versions of ActiveSync and keeps my data synced with my ACCESS databases. It handles the autonumber field now real well. With my more complex data forms it may take a while to load, but it runs very fast once it is loaded. I have tried a competitive product for $400 and just gave up on it. It required that all the tables you wanted to synchronize be in one database. SprintDB can synchronize multiple tables in multiple databases. Way better. Load time is the only negative I can think of. What a great price.

on Sep 22, 2007; I've developed business databases for several years, and this year i had to develop an database on device. I downloaded the principal applications from handango and do a light database to try. After a few days I decided for the SprintDB Pro, and i've seen that i had chose the best. It has lots of useful instructions and functions that let you to develop a database. You can also make graphs using the drawing functions and control outlook. Another thing to say is the little time that is needed to develop a database, when you have a little bit of practice, it is very fast. You can work directly on the device and that is great! Finally congratulations for the user contact with the developers, they answer all your email questions in a few days. Congratulations for the SprintDB team. Best wishes from Catalonia!

on Apr 5, 2007; i bought this pgm after trying it for a few days. i needed to replace a much slower dB program which i cross-graded from my old Palm T3. there are a few kinks to be worked out (e.g., some form event handling) and a few things i'd like to see (an overview of _all_ macros/scripts instead of having to hunt and peck thru each control), but this is still the best and fasted i've seen on a WinMobile device. and ya can't beat the price. it is incredibly flexible - the VBScript like macro language takes this from an average dB to a very powerful tool. since many of the dBs i use on my handheld are complicated, speed and flexibility are paramount for me. and SprintDB has it. if it weren't for the quirks mentioned above, i'd give it a 5 star rating. btw - don't bother with the desktop companion. i rue the day i spent the money on it - i haven't used it at all which is a testament to how well the handheld version is written.

on Mar 8, 2007; No other PPC database applications could be compared to SprintDB, I have tested all that I could find on the web. This is a Real Relational Database application, fully compatible with Access tables (after minor modifications of the AutoNumber fields in Access into AutoIncremental fields in SprintDB). Developing Screens, Forms and Subforms is a pleasure using the Mainform/Subform and the SubformX/SubformY relations. The relations between the Tables on the Forms/Subforms could go down into 5 levels of sub-linkage. The Event Driven code is very powerful. I could do almost all what I was able to do with Access after some minor changes. The Desktop Companion is another delight, I have developed a complete complex application, and then with a pushbutton I could transfer all the forms to the PPC. The most important is that KaioneSoft has a knowledgeable customer support that does care to respond to the e-mails in a professional manner.

on Dec 16, 2006; SprintDB is an excellent database application for the Pocket PC. After trying and even purchasing some of the other database programs available I found SprintDB. SprintDB beats the competition by far! All it needs to improve it's already impressive features are a report creation module and a stand-alone runtime module. Well done Kaione!

on Oct 27, 2006; I purchaed this software based on the 65 reviews of how excellent it was. When I downloaded it I was having a problem syncing my database to my Dell Axim. I explained my problem to the support guys and it took a couple of emails but my problem was addressed very quickly and the results were perfect. It took me about 15 mintes to figure out the forms and get up and running after linking to our database and then making a form to track our hardware. This is the best and easiest piece of software I have ever come across. A++ for product and support

on Dec 5, 2005; Ja, ich vergebe auch 5 Sterne an SprintDB - ohne wenn und aber. Ich habe mir viel Mühe gemacht, den Markt nach einer guten Datenbank für den Pocket-Pc abzusuchen, indem ich die verschiedenen Programme auf ihre Fähigkeiten hin untersucht habe. Am wichtigsten dabei war mir die Verarbeitungsgeschwindigkeit bei einer Datensatzanzahl bis zu 10.000 und die Möglichkeit der Datendarstellung. Der Anspruch war hoch, und SprintDB ging als Sieger hervor. Die Datenbank ist schnell, stabil, flexibel. Es hat nur etwas gedauert, bis ich mich durch die englischen Begriffe gearbeitet hatte aber ich konnte all das, was ich mir vorgestellt hatte mit SprintDB auch umsetzen. Ich wünsche mir, daß es das Programm auch für die deutsche Sprache gibt. Auch die Supportanfragen und -antworten in Englisch fielen mir nicht gerade leicht. on Sep 26, 2005; I have used SprintDB Pro for about 2 years now and can hardly find anything, which I could not program with this package. Very powerful programming environment, which accommodates the novice as well as more advanced users / developers. Regretably, there are no runtime redistributable components yet. Hopefully Kaione will add a runtime-only version to their product line soon.

on Sep 19, 2005; I have been switching iPAQ almost everytime a new model is released and this always the first program I install in them. The interface and the performance are the best in their class. I purchased another dbase program but I had a hard figuring it out. I use Access for my desktop and I consider this program as my pocket Access. Also Kim from their customer service is great in providing support.

on May 8, 2005; Looked at a range of the PDA database development products and this blew the others away; easy interface, relatively intuitive to learn, thorough support file, responsive support via email, a solid macro/script capability and SQL support. Allowed development of a PDA solution that none of the other products could provide. Great product!

You will be surpised to see how easy and user friendly this program is - despite its rich and comprehensive functionallity.

I am a developer and accomplished PocketPC user and therefore feel qualified in this review. In short SprintDB is fast, stable, usable, and feature rich. Believe me I have tried all the database apps I could find and this one is the best and not to be compared with any other. Save yourself the time and money and pick this one up today!

Exceptionally easy, fast, powerful, and fun! I was quickly able to create a replica of one of my Access databases on my Pocket PC in no time. I love this product and recommend it to anyone that desires a fully-functional database package that does it all, and at under $30.00, there's no way you can go wrong. My hat's off to you, KaioneSoft. Thanks!!!

on Apr 20, 2004; I have been frusterated with other DB packages out there (crashes/hangs-up, practically no functionality,etc) but Sprint Pro 2.0 is the shining star among Pocket PC Databases!!! Not only is it fast (I suspect some of the others are some sort of VB based stuff and are slow) in loading/executing scripts and forms, but the queries run quite fast as well. The script language is consistant and simple but powerful; nearly all the power of say VB in MS Access. *MOST IMPORTANT* .. the product is very well behaved and has yet to crash, freeze or do anything bad despite many consecutive iterations of editing forms->running queries->editing again->executing DB->edit once more->etc !!!!! Seems to sync with no problems with the master DB. I am very satisfied with its performance on a 10,000 record database. The hooks into Pocket Outlook are great!!!!

I am a programmer and know that writing this software is not rocket science but it is very time-consuming. They took the time to get it right so I don't have to write the software myself! Far and away the most powerful database for PocketPC!: by a reviewer from New York, NY
on Mar 2, 2004; This application is the reason I finally gave up my Palm device for PocketPC. I have used several other major database products available for both Palm and PocketPC. SprintDB is the most powerful and versatile by far. It is the only product out there with a powerful, well-documented scripting language and a full-functioned forms editor. Plus, you can develop your database right on your PocketPC. SprintDB is as close to Access as you can get on the PocketPC, and outperforms every other product out there, including one costing well over $100. Although there are some issues with sharing forms and data between the PocketPC and the Desktop version, I imagine these will be resolved in a future release. Unquestionably a solid 5-star product.
